Chairman of MADP calls on President Maumoon

The chairman of Maldives Association of Physical Disables (MAPD) Mr Ahmed Mohamed called on President Maumoon today. He briefed the former president on the objectives and activities of the Association. He said that the main focus of MAPD was to work for the betterment of persons/children with physical disabilities. Mr Ahmed Mohamed also apprised President Maumoon of the preparations being made for tomorrow’s Opportunity Walk. He further expressed his hope that Maumoon Foundation could work in some way with MAPD to help achieve its goals.

President Maumoon conveyed to Mr Ahmed Mohamed his deep appreciation of the work done by MAPD to mainstream people with physical disabilities, and said that he would discuss with his colleagues in Maumoon Foundation on the possibility of some form of cooperation with MAPD.
